Vaastu for Offices in Delhi NCR: 9 Practical Layout Tips for Modern Workspaces

3 min readNoida & Delhi NCR

Many business owners in Noida, Delhi and Gurugram prefer their offices to follow Vaastu Shastra. The challenge is that modern office towers rarely have a perfect orientation — the entrance, columns and shafts are already fixed. The good news is that most Vaastu principles can be applied through smart space planning, furniture placement and colour, without structural changes.

9 practical Vaastu tips for your office

  1. Main entrance: North, North-East or East is preferred. Keep it bright, open and clutter-free. If the entrance faces another direction, strengthen it with good lighting, a clear nameplate and a welcoming reception.
  2. Owner or MD cabin in the South-West: sit facing North or East, with a solid wall behind you rather than a window or door.
  3. Reception in the North-East or East: a bright, welcoming reception creates a positive first impression for clients and visitors.
  4. Accounts and finance in the North: the North is associated with wealth; position the cash locker so that it opens towards the North.
  5. Conference room in the North-West: this zone is linked with movement and communication, which suits meetings and negotiations.
  6. Pantry and electricals in the South-East: the fire (Agni) zone is the right place for the pantry, server room and electrical panels.
  7. Workstations facing North or East: and avoid seating anyone directly under a heavy beam.
  8. Keep the North-East light and open: avoid heavy storage, washrooms or clutter in this corner.
  9. Washrooms and heavy storage in the West, South or North-West.

When your floor plan isn’t Vaastu-friendly

In multi-tenant towers you usually cannot choose where the entrance, shafts or washrooms are. In those cases, Vaastu-aware planning focuses on what you can control:

  • Zoning cabins, meeting rooms and workstations to the most suitable directions.
  • Choosing colours and materials that balance the five elements in each zone.
  • Using lighting, plants and décor to strengthen weaker areas.
  • Orienting desks and seating rather than moving walls.

Balance Vaastu with good design

Vaastu should support good design, not override it. Natural light, acoustics, circulation, fire exits and comfort always come first. An experienced designer finds layouts that satisfy both — so your office feels right and works well.
